SPORTS FESTIVAL - 2017- 18

The Jain Academy for Sporting Excellence popularly known as JASE is a forerunner in sports education. It is the brain child of one of the greatest visionaries in the field of education Dr. R. Chenraj Jain, Chairman of the Jain Group Institutions, who maintains that all round development of a child is possible only through sports.

The 13 JASE Cup, an invitational interschool Sports Festival was held from 19^th Aug to 02^nd September 2017 at the state-of the-art sports facilities of the Jain Global Campus.

18 Schools from across Bangalore battled to win prestigious trophies in 142 events from 78 categories’ in 19 disciplines for Sub junior girls, Sub junior boys, Junior Girls, Junior Boys, Senior Girls and Senior Boys in this mega event. Day One Started with An Inaugural function has for the 13^th JASE CUP was presided by Mr Rajan Varghise, Dean, Jain University School Of Law, it was also attended by our CEO -Wg Cdr Ganesh Sharma (Retd),COO-JASE -Wg Cdr Arijit Ghosh (Retd),and all participates.

It is a matter of great pleasure that nearly 1000 children from 18 schools participated in the sporting carnival and have enjoyed the ambience and hospitality of the Jain Academy for Sporting Excellence and Jain International Residential School over the last 5 days.

Individual prizes were awarded to the Winners, Runners-up and the 3^rd placed teams on the conclusion of each event. The Team Trophies would be awarded in a few moments from now. In each category a Best Player Trophy was also awarded to encourage emerging sportsmen.

I would be failing in my duty if I do not mention that the guiding spirit behind this event is our Chairman Dr. R. Chenraj Jain under whose guidance and support these activities have been organized. We would also like to express our gratitude to the Project and Facilities Department -JGI, Sodexo, JIRS Students Council Members and Team JASE in particular, for making this event a grand success. I would also like to compliment teach team for displaying the wonderful co-operation and sportsmanship, which contributed to the success of the events. It was indeed a pleasure to have you here and we look forward to seeing you here again in future as well.. I would place on record our gratitude to the various officials and referees from the Karnataka State Football, Cricket And Basketball Association and other sports institutions for their kind Support during the tournament.
