Ganesha Chathurthi festival celebration - 14 Sep 2018
Jain International Residential School has a rich culture of
celebrating all the festivals with gaiety, fervor, devotion and with a lot of
excitement and festivity in the air. This year also Ganesha Chathurthi festival
was celebrated by students, management and the entire staff with a great
enthusiasm.
The day started by offering Puja to Lord Ganesha , the
symbol of wisdom and remover of obstacles at the Vasu Maha Ganapathi Temple at
Jain International Residential School. All the students and staff participated
in Bhajan, Shloka chanting followed by the maha mangala arati with great
devotion.
In the evening, children gathered again at the Ganesha
temple for the Puja and the Lord Ganesha idol was placed in the chariot to be
taken in procession for immersion. The children not only prayed to Lord Ganesha
but also sang and danced to the tunes of Ganapathi Bappa Moriya accompanied with
the rhythmic tribal folk drummers and dancers. Amidst the bursting of crackers
and dancing, the Lord Ganesha idol was immersed in the water body and marking
the end of a day full of devotion, fun, and blessings.
