Jain Paryushan Celebration
Jain International Residential School (JIRS) celebrates the Jain
Paryushan festival for a period of eight days with devotion and dedication. The
festival started with a ‘Deeksha’ – taking oath to practice the religious
systems and traditions of Jainism. All Jain students participated with
full vigor and zeal in the various religious rituals. They listened with rapt
attention to the holy sermons of the saints. ‘Prathikraman’ a systematic ritual
of repentance and begging forgiveness was conducted every day from 5.30 pm to
7.00 pm. - 29 - Aug to 05 Sep 2016.
